Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

What is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)?

A BCBA is a graduate-level professional, whose studies include the behavior of children and adults – with a specific focus on individuals with autism, brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and/or emotional or social issues. The BCBA then creates treatment plans to improve or change challenging behavior. They often work directly with a team of Psychologists and Registered Behavior Technicians to provide care for the individual and their caretakers.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

What is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)?

RBTs are professionals who have obtained a paraprofessional certification in Behavior Analysis and work in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. They work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to collect data and carry out treatment plans. RBTs work directly with individuals with autism, brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and/or emotional or social issues in a one-one or small group setting to improve or change problematic behavior.

Targeted Case Manager (TCM)

What is a Targeted Case Manager (TCM)?

Targeted Case Managers (TCM) are professionals who have obtained a certification in Targeted Case Management. They provide essential services that eliminate barriers to treatment by providing clients and their caregivers access to needed medical, clinical, educational, economic, and social services. While partnering with a clinical team, a TCM may provide care to clients in an office setting, the community, or their clients’ home; this approach provides a full-circle level of care between clients, caregivers, and their clinicians.

Psychologist

What does a Psychologist do at Commonwealth ABA?

We have a network of board-certified Psychologists across the country who specialize in diagnosing behavioral disorders, such as Autism. They work with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide diagnostics and assessment, all in an effort to make care more accessible.

Intake Manager

What does an Intake Manager do at Commonwealth ABA?

An Intake Manager is essential in a client’s first steps accessing care. They are often the first contact a new client and their caregivers have with Commonwealth ABA. The Intake Manager is responsible for overseeing the process of establishing new clients by assessing their needs, collecting documentation, facilitating referrals, and working with the client’s medical and insurance providers.

Outreach Coordinator

What does an Outreach Coordinator do at Commonwealth ABA?

Outreach Coordinator is primarily responsible for sourcing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with client referral sources such as pediatricians, psychologists, counselors, schools, and other community providers. Our Outreach Coordinators are the “faces of Commonwealth ABA” and work to bring recognition of the Commonwealth ABA brand as the leader in the industry.

Our Team

Our Current Team

We have services in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Virginia.

And we’re expanding our services in communities across the United States, including in North Carolina.

Each Commonwealth ABA center is lead by at least one BCBA who oversees a team of Behavior Technicians and Targeted Case Managers. This team provides a robust care plan for all our clients and their families. They are supported by a team of Regional Psychologists that help ensure quick access to care. And our Headquarters Support Team, located in Florence, Kentucky and remotely in each of our service areas, brings everyone together by providing the critical resources needed for the Lead BCBAs run their clinics.
